Piper M600/SLS: New Technologies for the Connected Aircraft of the Future

25. September 2023

It’s no secret that Piper Aircraft has often been at the forefront of the general aviation industry when it comes to integrating the latest technologies into their aircraft. This commitment to innovation continues in 2023. Here’s an overview of the latest developments and features of the Piper M600/SLS:

PlaneSync™ – The Connected Aircraft: Piper has announced the introduction of a series of connected aircraft management capabilities for the G3000-equipped M600/SLS. Thanks to Garmin’s PlaneSync™ technology, M600/SLS owners can now remotely access crucial aircraft and flight planning information. They can retrieve fuel quantity, aircraft location, oil temperature, battery voltage, and current METAR data directly via the Garmin Pilot™ application.

Automatic Wireless Updates: Another impressive feature of PlaneSync™ is the ability to automatically download databases, even when the aircraft is turned off. This eliminates the need to manually update databases, significantly reducing the workload for pilots.

Software Upgrades for G3000: The M600/SLS also receives extensive updates for the existing G3000 software.
